Access Dashboard Tab

Click the Dashboard tab on the Tab Bar of PerfectDisk.

Dashboard Main Screen

The Dashboard Tab features your drive fragmentation statistics, drive alerts, PerfectDisk performance history, and a graphical overview of current fragments prevented on your machine. A simple glance at the Dashboard will tell you how your machine is performing and how PerfectDisk is helping your machine improve its performance

The main screen is divided into various sections and each shows the following information:

Section

Description

Counters

This section shows the following information:

Total Fragments Prevented

Displays the total number of fragments prevented by PerfectDisk.

Total Fragments Eliminated

Displays the total number of fragments removed by PerfectDisk.

Total Files Defragmented

Displays the total number of files defragmented by PerfectDisk.

Status

Shows the drive list and their current percentage of file fragmentation and free space fragmentation, defragmentation status, etc.

S.M.A.R.T.

Shows the S.M.A.R.T. information about the drives. This is not available for virtual machines. The S.M.A.R.T. tab also shows the same information.

Scheduled Tasks

Displays a calendar of the PerfectDisk defragmentation schedule. A simple glance would tell you when and what schedule is configured on your machine. Hovering or clicking at a schedule will also show a tool tip on schedule details. The Previous and Next buttons help you navigate to the months in the calendar.

Alerts

Displays any alerts or warnings associated with the drives. The alerts shown here are color coded.

Information -icon_info.jpg - displays information about any changes in the PerfectDisk system which does not causes any harm.

Warning-icon_warning.jpg - displays a warning if anything will cause the system performance to degrade.

Critical-icon_critical.jpg - displays an alert that something is causing a critical level of performance degradation.
